At Park Hotel Tornio, our operations are guided by a customer-focused approach, local values and responsible business practices. We are committed to developing our operations with a long-term perspective and doing our part to ensure that our region remains a great place to visit, live and work for generations to come.

The surrounding nature, local way of life, and the unique characteristics of the Tornio River and Bothnian Bay region are an essential part of what makes our destination special. We want to help preserve these values for future generations.

In recognition of our long-term commitment to sustainability, Park Hotel Tornio was awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label by Visit Finland on 14th of August 2026. We also use the Eco-Compass environmental management system to measure our environmental impact and continuously improve our environmental performance.

Through our ongoing sustainability work, we aim to make our operations even more sustainable and encourage our local partners, stakeholders and guests to do the same. Our employees contribute to this work as part of their everyday activities. We pay particular attention to energy and water consumption, waste sorting, reducing food and other waste, and responsible purchasing. Sustainable tourism is also incorporated into staff induction, training and internal communications.

Our commitment to sustainability extends to our partners. We expect our partners to follow responsible practices in areas such as waste management, housekeeping and food sourcing. We communicate openly about our sustainability efforts and progress through our website and other digital channels.
